Culture Walk: Gamer

Gamers have become part of the pop culture. Pretty much everyone plays video games thats under 40. Not to say that people over 40 don't just not as in high a numbers. My walk was to find all the video game stuff in one area...This area is from 1st Ave. to Oracle rd. along Wetmore rd.

The beginning of my trip started here at Best Buy (right side of above photo) and played some video game demos...started with the 360, skipped the PS3 and finished at the Wii

Next was Walmart... yay (sarcastic). I played their demo PS3 and got a crick in my neck from the horrible set up. Eff Wally World!

Game Stop, or mecca by this point, is the Gamer store. They have what you need. I got info on new games out and coming out.

The walk back to my car I looked for some Gamer signs but found none so I included a pic that I took the night before while driving and thinking about this project...
here is also a photo of an ignorant fundamentalist's propaganda. it was parked in the walmart parking lot... go figure?

I stopped at Funtastics next...

Finishing my walk, the Tucson Mall.

I started at Sears on level 2 made my way to KB toy right next to it on level 1 then to EB games (same as Game Stop and Software Ect.) on level 1. I then moved back up to Software Ect on level 2 and finished my walk at Hot Topic on level 1 where they sell merchandise/trinkets. I couldnt take pictures because they don't allow photography in the mall and I work there. I didn't want to take the chance of getting kicked off the premises a half hour before my shift.
